Google Friendly Tip #8 of 13 for Web Designers

Footers are actually one of the more valuable parts of any website design. If you can make a footer as part of the CSS, I say do it.
As I mentioned in Google Friendly Tip # 7, Contact Info at the Bottom of Every Page, even with an individual contact page, make sure to also include contact information at the bottom of every page. Bold the company name and make it an absolute link back to the index page. What I didn’t mention before is to make that contact info the part of your footer. You’ll also want to include any or all of the following in your footer:

Text link to the sitemap page
Anchor text link to the blog index page (Don’t just say blog, but indicate what kind of blog, for example, seo blog
Text link to [...]
